[...] the rescue we saw all the miners coming out of the mine with black glasses and many of them still wore the pretty stylish $400 Oakley [...]

I am sooooo proud to be Chilean, I am proud of my country, of my people, of my President and especially about the unity and strenght of the Chilean people. I am proud of the 33 miners who never gave up themselves, who helped each other through this ordeal, who supported one another when one felt weak, who cooperated with one another to maintain the calm, to make a plan, to go on day after day, it is a lesson the whole world will benefit from. Chile, Chile lindo, lindo como el sol…..
Watching the rescue was so amazing. I stayed up late (east coast) to watch the first miner surface. And then since I was home yesterday, I watched throughout the day, right up until the last man hugged the President. It never got old, seeing them smile and reunite with their families. I’m so glad that this part of the ordeal is over and I hope they all recover well, physically as well as psychologically.
This is an end made it heaven (not even Hollywood could had make it better). I’m very happy for the miners, specially because they belong to a humble part of society and their lives are hard.
